All Saints’ Day

Our All Saints Day Masses will be on Thursday, November 1st at Noon and 7:30 PM. This is a Holy Day of Obligation. For the month of November, you can display pictures of your deceased loved ones in the Church. Before All Saints’ Day, please put your name on the back of all pictures and bring them to the Parish Office. Also, all those named on our St. Joseph envelopes will be remembered on the altar during the month.

The Solemnity of All Saints is a time to look back, to remember and to celebrate all who have gone on before us, marked with the sign of faith. It is a time to stand in the present, and recall our own call to holiness. And it is a time to look forward to a “future full of hope,” the new and eternal Jerusalem. This year, we will have pictures of saints around the church. Please, feel free to read about each of the saints at each station, or pray with one saint for a cause for which you are interceding. For instance, if you know someone with cancer, you may want to spend some time praying with St. Peregrine.

Prayer for All Saints Day

Dear God, thank you for the example of the Saints.
I desire to join in their company, worshiping you forever in Heaven.
Please help me follow their footsteps, and yours, Jesus Christ.
Please help me to conform myself to Your image,
seeking Your will in all things, as the Saints did.
Please help me to devote myself, and all that I do,
to Your glory, and to the service of my neighbors. Amen.
