Come Out and Hang Out – 26Oct14
St. Joseph’s second Come Out and Hang Out social with Fr. Frazier at Crestwood Village, held on Sunday, 26Oct, was attended by approximately 90 parishioners and friends from the Ballenger Creek area. It was a delightful evening of fellowship as everyone had the opportunity to get to know one another better and connect with new people. When asked if more socials like this would be welcomed, the resounding answer was “yes”.
After thanking everyone for coming, and then visiting for awhile, Father Frazier spoke briefly about the mission of the church and his desire to strengthen our internal parish community in order to go out and proclaim the Gospel to the communities in which we live. He presented the idea of change in our lives and encouraged us to be able to accept and carry out our own calling. Then he asked for input as to how the parish could better minister to the needs of the community and extended to everyone the invitation to speak with him or parish leadership regarding these needs.
A big thank you to our co-hosts for the evening: Charlie & Marilyn Abel, Jim & Kathy DeStefano, Greg & Sherri Gondeck, Vince & Kathy Tolino, Scott & Karen Wight, and Amy Wilkins.
There will be more opportunities to get to know your fellow parishioners and Father in a more personal way in 2015!

Come Out and Hang Out – 08Oct14
St. Joseph’s first Come Out and Hang Out social was held 08Oct14, when more than 50 people from the Adamstown and Point-of-Rocks areas gathered for a lovely evening of conversation, laughter, and the opportunity to deepen current relationships and to meet new people. Many commented how nice it was to put a name to a familiar face, catch-up with a friend, and to meet a new neighbor.
Father Frazier welcomed and thanked everyone for coming, and he talked briefly about his desire for us all to build our communities in a more meaningful way. He challenged us to accept change as we live out the mission of the church. Then he spent the evening visiting with attendees and hearing ideas about how the parish can better minister and serve so that all may grow in their faith and share that faith with others.
Many thanks to our co-hosts for the first event: Michelle Anfang, Tony Fioravanti, Ann-Marie Lee-Wilkins, Mike McGough, Barbara Simpson, and Annette Tinder.
