St. John the Evangelist and St. Joseph has discontinued the use of e-tickets for Mass. We believe that we are ready to go ticketless since we added seats, made adjustments, and opened the halls in both parishes in case of overflow. Those who have special requests (for example, persons with disabilities who need aisle seats, people who want six feet of social distancing, or persons with families of more than four) are asked to call the parish office by the close of business on Wednesdays. We will try to accommodate any reasonable request.
This week, the Archbishop of Baltimore made an important announcement. He wrote, “The lifting of general dispensation and removing restrictions will both go into effect on June 26 and 27.“
Effective immediately, the use of facial coverings at parish liturgies (daily, weekend, and all other public Masses) is optional for those who are fully vaccinated. Per Archdiocesan guidance, those attending who are not yet vaccinated, or yet ineligible to receive a vaccine, are strongly encouraged to continue wearing a mask. We recognize that people, of whatever vaccination status, may elect to continue masking while at Mass.
